The 1933 World Series saw the Giants defeat the Washington Senators behind solid pitching from Carl Hubbell, Hal Schumacher and Havana native Dolf Luque. For his part, Hubbell was untouchable at that point in his career, winning the NL MVP and giving up zero earned runs during the series, a precursor to his fanning Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Simmons and Cronin at the 1934 All-Star Game. Presented is a Reach OAL Harridge baseball signed by (27) participants from both teams in that historic Fall Classic. Displaying signatures of average (“5”) potency, the VG-EX to EX condition orb features tight blue-and-red stitching. Includes: Sweet Spot: Manush (d.1971), Cronin; North Panel: Peel, C.B. Moran (d.1949), Terry, Jackson, O’Doul (d.1969), Moore, Russell, Kerr; South Panel: Altrock (d.1965), Critz, Rice (d.1974), Moriarty (d.1964; umpire), Hubbell, Schulte; West Panel: Mancuso, Kuhel, L. Sewell, Bluege, Goslin (d.1971); East Panel: Dressen (d.1966), Ryan (d.1956), Ott (d.1958), Myer; Reverse Sweet Spot: Pfirman (d.1937; umpire), E.T. Ormsby (d.1962; umpire). Full photo LOA from JSA. This item has a reserve (estimated value $1,500-3,000).
