Description



It was the Reds' first championship since their scandal-tinged win over the 1919 Black Sox. And Bill McKechnie became both the first manager to lead 3 different teams to the World Series and the first to win the Fall Classic with 2 different teams. These full stubs measure 5-1/4 x 2-1/4" and include: 1) Game 5 at Detroit (EX-MT/NM; 8-0 Tigers with Greenberg HR). 2) Game 6 at Cincinnati (presents frontally as EX but with paper loss at both sides of reverse; 4-0 Reds with Walters win). 3) Game 7 at Cincinnati (presents frontally as VG but with paper loss and wear throughout reverse; 2-1 Reds clincher).
