Fans of the original Washington Senators franchise recall events honoring prominent players Walter Johnson, “Zeb” Milan, Cecil Travis and team owner Clark Griffith with lot of (4) tribute programs. Preserved in better condition, these vintage publications are fine representatives of the early years of what is now the Minnesota Twins team. Featured are:

1922 Washington Booster Club Dinner Program with “Zeb” Milan photo on the front cover, program presents in very solid (EX-MT) condition with minimal traces of wear, however the Milan photo which is only attached at the top, has two creases at the bottom right corner, contents are a list of Booster Club officials, a menu and a roster of speakers

3/21/47 Walter Johnson Memorial Unveiling Game program with monument image cover, features six pages of Johnson’s stats, records and biography (EX) with nice clean surfaces, shows minor spine cracks and corner wear, otherwise very appealing with a solid spine and good gloss, also features a great art image of Johnson on the back cover, scorecard is neatly recorded in pencil vs. St. Louis Browns

8/15/47 Cecil Travis Testimonial Game program with photo cover, features three pages of biography and stats (EX-MT) with deference to a light scratch, scorecard has score notations only on the margin in pen vs. Philadelphia Athletics

8/17/48 Clark Griffith Tribute program (VG-EX) due to moderate spine cracks and light corner wear, otherwise clean and appealing, front cover features a photo of Griffith, inside of cover has a photo of president Harry Truman, scorecard is partially recorded neatly in pencil vs. the New York Yankees with DiMaggio, Berra and Rizzuto
