Shots that the legendary Annie Oakley made famous include splitting a playing card, knocking a cigar out of the mouth of a stuntman and firing a pistol backwards over her left shoulder. Unbelievably, she executed all of these shots at a distance of approximately 25 yards. Oakley is the subject of the presented cabinet photograph. Issued by Stacy of New York (located on the intersection of 5th avenue and 9th street in Brooklyn in the present day Park Slope neighborhood), this late-1800s Annie Oakley blank back cabinet is encapsulated and graded 40 VG 3 by SGC. Rounded corners and the subject’s facsimile signature accent a sepia-toned image of the famed trick-shooter neatly decorated with a slew of marksmen medals strewn about her chest.
