Among the most valuable entries in the entire "We Are the Champions!" team-signed ball collection, this 1925 Pirates example is also one of the nicest of its kind in the whole hobby. It celebrates the Bucs squad that fought back from a 3-1 World Series deficit to earn a Game 7, and then overcame the Senators' 2-run 7th-inning lead for a dramatic comeback victory. The shellacked, medium-toned OAL (Johnson) ball features dramatically bold stampings, a "WORLDS CHAMPS 1925" notation, and an unusual cameo by Commissioner Kennesaw Mountain Landis. The 24 signatures average "7-8" w/Landis ("6-7"), Clarke ("8"), Cuyler ("7-8"), Traynor ("7"), McKechnie, Adams, McInnis, Grantham, Morrison, Meadows, Kremer, Aldridge, Spencer, Wright, Gooch, Yde, Barnhart, Oldham, Moore, Bigbee, Smith, Rawlings and two others. Full LOA from JSA. This item has a reserve (estimated value: $5,000-$10,000).
