Detailed Description on our website.

Blast into orbit with these vintage space exploration collectibles. As the race for space was heating up, Drenk’s Krun-Chee Corn Chips was one of several brands to capitalize on the surging popularity of space exploration by issuing a set of Space Coins in their snack products. Offered one per package with a set total of 60, this fascinating series featured a variety of astronauts and spacecraft. A redemption offer made available groups of three wall display plaques which held twenty coins each. These plastic plaques were fashioned after the early Mercury/Gemini capsules and in the case of the Krun-Chee brand they are labeled with the name “Space Magic” on the center slot of the row second from bottom.

The offered near set of (45/60) coins presents marvelously in average (EX-MT to NM-MT+) condition. Highlights are the “Original Seven” Mercury Astronauts with John Glenn, Scott Carpenter, “Gordo” Cooper, Gus Grissom, Wally Schirra, Alan Shepard and “Deke” Slayton; and sitting President John F.
