(4) American issues with:

 

1898 Patriot Art Series The New United States Navy (GD-VG) answering the cry “Remember the Maine”, this Spanish-American War period propaganda piece show off America’s naval strength for all the world to see. Battleships, gun boats, cruisers and others are depicted in forty black and white photos taken by H.W. Rau of Philadelphia (several pages have pencil notations on the bottom border which do not affect the photos). The back cover is graced with an illustration of ”Old Glory” and a rousing tribute poem to the battleship USS Maine which was sunk in Havana, Cuba harbor earlier in the same of this album’s 1898 copyright.

 

1936-1939 Heinz Foods Famous Air Pilots (VG) with (5/25) F277 Famous Aviators Pictures cards affixed with #4 Col. Roscoe Tanner, #6 D.W. “Tommy” Tomlinson, #7 Dick Depew, #10 Louise Thaden, #18 Boris Sergievsky, also features a two-page centerfold map of “World Air Line Routes”, a diagram photo of cockpit instrument panel and two pages of Heinz 57 Varities advertising

 

1940 Timaru Milling Co. Peter the Pilot’s Past & Present Album (VG) with (1/36) cards affixed #34 Errol Flynn from a series of subjects labeled on the front cover as “Chiefs of Staff, Navy, Arny, Airforce, Railways, Film Stars”, many card spaces on interior pages show signs of adhesive residue to card removal, also present is an 8-3/4 x 5-3/4” illustration titled “Naval Action”

 

1945 General Mills War Album of Victory Battles (EX) with solid spine, includes a first page foreword by Eddie Rickenbacker with facsimile signature as president and general manager of Eastern Air Lines; and (20/20) stamps affixed tow per page, back cover shows labeled illustrations of Citations and Decorations for bravery and heroism

 

(3) German issues published during Third Reich Nazi Era with:

 

1933 Waldorf-Astoria Uniformen der Marine und Schutztruppen translates to uniforms of marines and colonial troops of Africa (VG-EX) very solid and sturdy with good spine, shows light sporadic traces of wear but is generally appealing, complete set of (96) military men tobacco cards in better to excellent condition are affixed to the appropriate pages

 

1933 Martin Brinkman Corp. Lloyd Flotten Bilder (naval fleet images), cover is (GD-VG), pages are clean and supple with a complete set of (120) tobacco cards affixed to corresponding spaces in better to excellent condition with naval officers and ships

 

1935 Eckstein-Halpaus Die Nachkriegszeit 1918-1934 “the post war (WWI) period”  (VG-EX) very sturdy with bold cover color, provides a year by year accounting for the period 1918-1934 of German military and political events depicted by a complete set of (252) tobacco cards including several Hitler in better to excellent condition affixed to corresponding pages, front cover has an inset photo of Nazi troops and a zeppelin, text is entirely in German language regarding real events
