One of the most memorable rematches in boxing history, the second Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier fight was billed as “the Big Fight Everyone Is Waiting to See”. With both fighters armed and ready to battle in a non-title bout (and a chip on Ali’s shoulder to prove his detractors wrong) this match reached new levels of hype. Turns out Ali made good on his many promises, defeating "Smokin' Joe" by unanimous decision. Presented is a remarkable Ali-Frazier dual-signed on-site cardboard display touting the January 28, 1974 Madison Square Garden main event. Measuring 24-1/2 x 30-1/2” this glorious placard features incredible photos of the two pugilists ready in their signature stances along with vivid red, yellow and black graphics against clean white borders. Generally this dynamic display piece presents in VG-EX condition with light creasing in the left edge (due to rolling/unrolling) and a few stains in the bottom right corner which in no way affects the photos or lettering. Both prizefighters' vintage marker endorsements radiate powerfully, meriting equally solid (“9-10”) strength designations. Imprinted at lower right next to a hallmark symbol is “Litho’d By Passantino Printing Co. Inc., 311 W. 43rd St. N.Y. 10036". More on website
