The 1939 Baseball Centennial first day cover (FDC) series kicked off on June 12, 1939, also known as the “First Day Of Issue” as noted on the included envelopes. Presented are (6) Baseball Umpire & Executive Signed Cooperstown FDC’s dated to that inaugural day. The mid-grade envelopes present well given their age with light creasing and moderate residue on the reverse of the collectibles. Each FDC features a penning (average “8-9” potency) on the obverse to the left of the listed address. A “3 cent” baseball centennial stamp appropriately decorates the top right corner of the envelopes, which feature three different variations of the centennial release.
