Description

Clark Griffith was a player, manager and owner whose entire life in baseball spanned over seven decades. “The Old Fox” was honored by his beloved Senators, who named their stadium after him. Griffith (d.1955) is the subject of this Signed Centennial FDC with a (“7-8”) potency penning. The mid-grade envelope presents well given their age with light creasing and moderate residue on the reverse of the collectible. According to 1939baseball.com, this cover is of the “Postmaster Cooperstown” variation. A “3 cent” baseball centennial stamp appropriately decorates the top right corner, full photo LOA from JSA.
