Dazzy Vance, the only pitcher to lead his league in strikeouts seven consecutive seasons (1922-1927), was a pure “fireballer” who challenged hitters with the pitch that they all knew was coming. Vance (d.1961) is the subject of this Dazzy Vance Signed Centennial FDC with a (“9-10”) potency penning. The mid-grade envelope presents well given their age with light creasing and moderate residue on the reverse of the collectible. According to 1939baseball.com, this cover is of the “Postmaster Cooperstown” variation. A “3 cent” baseball centennial stamp appropriately decorates the top right corner, full photo LOA from JSA.
