Home Run Baker (d.1963) gained his nickname by hitting dingers off of Rube Marquard and Christy Mathewson in games 2 and 3 of the 1911 World Series. “The Original Home-Run King” is the subject of this Frank “Home Run” Baker Signed Centennial FDC with an (“8-9”) potency penning. The mid-grade envelope presents well given their age with light creasing and moderate residue on the reverse of the collectible. According to 1939baseball.com, this cover is of the “Postmaster Cooperstown” variation. A “3 cent” baseball centennial stamp appropriately decorates the top right corner, full photo LOA from JSA.
