Following a superb career during which he logged a National League record eight batting titles, Honus Wagner (d.1955), who is pictured in the most coveted baseball card on the market (the T206), was elected to the Hall of Fame in the augural class of 1936. The presented Honus Wagner Signed Centennial FDC features a (“9”) potency black fountain pen autograph. The mid-grade envelope presents well given their age with light creasing and moderate residue on the reverse of the collectible. According to 1939baseball.com, this cover is of the “Postmaster Cooperstown” variation. A “3 cent” baseball centennial stamp appropriately decorates the top right corner, full photo LOA from JSA.
