"Boots" Grantham hit his stride with the Pirates in the late 1920s—precisely the era of this 34"-long gamer. He batted over .300 during the 1926-1929 regular seasons, and then upped the ante to .364 in the 1927 World Series. His bat shows moderate usage and features a rich, lustrous surface with bold stampings in a wonderful vintage style. Fonseca's 35"-long lumber dates to his first four big-league campaigns in Cleveland. Heavy usage throughout includes handle taping for a choked-up grip. Both bats have handle cracks repaired long ago with nails. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
