The hallowed halls of the Negro League Museum in Kansas City, Missouri recall memories of a day before baseball was integrated. The highest form of entertainment in both white and African American communities were the players who performed for love of the game and (maybe most importantly) didn’t seem to take themselves too seriously. The Hall of Fame pedigree of the first few generations of diamond stars to come into the major league shows that these players were just as talented (probably “even more gifted”) than their Caucasian counterparts. The presented lot of (79) Negro League Memorabilia items includes (75) signed collectibles. The keepsakes present well and offer a sampling of stars from prominent clubs such as the Kansas City Monarchs, Indianapolis Clowns, Homestead Grays and many more. Auction LOA from JSA unless otherwise noted.
