Description



Direct from noted cap collector Ed Dolan, this quintet includes: 1) Circa 1930s-1950s game-used blue cap with Spalding/Mitchell & Ness labels; very heavy wear/aging to band and under bill. 2) Game-used blue cap with chain-stitched size on MacGregor leather head band; moderate wear. 3) Circa 1940s game-used blue cap with chain-stitched size on MacGregor leather head band; moderate wear. 4) Extremely rare 1954 one-year-only-style cap attributed to Carl Scheib and Sonny Dixon who both wore #24 (notated under bill) in '54; light wear. 5) Game-worn cap with no player name or number; moderate wear.

 

Huggins and Scott is allowing the winning bidder 45 days from the date when payment is received to have the item independently authenticated. Payment must, however, be made within two weeks from the end of the auction.
