Description

Produced by the Pictorial News Co, these rarities pay tribute to the then-mighty Phillies and promote the then-ubiquitous tobacco industry.

First is the 1913 Phillies piece titled, "BOTH PHILADELPHIA BALL TEAMS TOP THE LADDER NOW," with the same team image used for the Fatima T200 card set, featuring Rixey, Alexander, Magee, Doolan, Seaton and Dooin. The 18x12 visible area is apparent FR with staining, creasing, edge chips and restoration. Matted and framed to 24x18.

Next we have the 1915 Phillies poster titled, "LOOKS LIKE A PENNANT FOR THESE PHILLIES." Although there are two other Fatima 1915 Phillies ads that occasionally surface at auction, we've never seen this particular one before with Cravath, Luderus, Killifer, Moran, Mayer and Killifer/Stock/Pfeffer. The 12x18 visible area is apparent VG-EX with a standard vertical and horizontal fold. Matted and framed to 18-1/2 x 24-1/2" (some frame wear).

Frames included with lots: while we make every effort to protect the frames included in these lots during pre-auction storage and post-auction shipping, we are not responsible for any damage to the frames themselves, and no refunds will be given due to frame damage.
