The story of Rajah and Lefty goes back to 1929, when the two finished first and second in NL MVP voting. Hornsby took the top honor, even though O'Doul mounted one of the best offensive campaigns in baseball history, winning the batting crown with a .398 average while amassing 32 HRs, 122 RBIs, 152 runs and an astounding 254 hits—breaking the single-season record of none other than Rogers himself. To our knowledge, this dual-signed Hornsby-O'Doul ball is the only one in existence. It's a creamy-toned sphere with "6-7" signatures that both can display as singles. O'Doul occupies the sweet spot, while Hornsby is large and in charge on the west panel. Full LOA from JSA. This item has a reserve (estimated value: $2,300-$3,500).
