Starting in Ford Wayne in the early days of the NBA, the Detroit Pistons emerged in 1957 with a lot of promise, as their predecessors had won two consecutive Western Conference titles. Unfortunately, they had to wait a long while (over 30 years) before their first championship in 1989, but not long until their second in 1990. Presented is a stunning Paul Madden 20x44 “Detroit Pistons 50th Anniversary” original artwork print with beautiful and vibrant colors and images. The print does an excellent job depicting almost (30) players and (2) coaches “in action” including many iconic players from throughout the history of the Pistons. It also shows the evolution of the logos throughout the decades and was produced by artist Paul Madden as a special commission for the 2007-08 team. A sampling of players who are pictured: Chauncey Billups, Dave Bing, Dave DeBusschere, Joe Dumars, “Rip” Hamilton, Grant Hill, Bill Laimbeer, Bob Lanier, Tayshaun Prince, Dennis Rodman, Jerry Stackhouse, Isaiah Thomas, Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace. An unbelievable addition to the collection of any basketball fans, this would be an especially iconic part of a Detroit basketball assemblage.
