Detailed description on our website.

Still fairly new to the NFL, the Baltimore Colts established themselves as a top tier team by winning back to back championships in 1958 and 1959 under the guidance of HOF QB Johnny Unitas. The Colts faced the very talented New York Giants in both games, first in what has been dubbed “The Greatest Game Ever Played” on 12/28/58 at Yankee Stadium and then repeating on 12/27/59 at home in Memorial Stadium.

Preserve the Colts supremacy with this collection of related items. Featured are:

12/28/58 Program from Yankee Stadium (VG) due to small edge tears on the front cover and some of the pages and a back cover fold crease, otherwise attractive with bold cover colors and a tight spine

12/27/59 Program from Memorial Stadium, no grade due to being incomplete, front cover is detached but present, back cover is absent, centerfold is also detached but present, front cover shows strong colors and decent gloss, pages are clean and supple

1959 Sports Illustrated souvenir edition supplement titled “The Best Football Game Ever” (VG), excerpted “from the pages of Sports Illustrated” this twenty-four page publication recounts the course of the 1958 title game with quotes, editorial content, art images and diagrams. (3) Items are affixed by means of clear tape to the last page, which features a printed Colts logo overlapped with the term “Autographs”, with 1.) “World’s 1959 Championship” ticket stub (GD); 2.) a Johnny Unitas autograph cut (“8-9”); and 3.) Earl Morrall signed 3x5 index card (“9”). Both autographs are dated “1969” in unknown hand and come with auction LOA from JSA.
