Description

The turn of the century is the setting and golf is the game in this 16x24 Early 1900s Golf Framed Display. Matted and framed to 28x37 dimensions, the piece depicts a man in a red-button down garment with yellow tassels on each shoulder and a gold medallion around his neck. The subject has presumably won the golf contest and is pictured with two clubs that he used to play. The bottom of the display has been presented to someone and reads: "Henry Callender Esq. to the Society of Coffers at Blackheath: This plate is with just respect dedicated by their most humble servant William Ward".

Frames included with lots: while we make every effort to protect the frames included in these lots during pre-auction storage and post-auction shipping, we are not responsible for any damage to the frames themselves, and no refunds will be given due to frame damage.
