In the shadow of the famous and beloved Astrodome, the Ballpark At Union Station, Enron Field (that didn't work out!), Astros Field and finally Minute Maid Park were the names given to the new stadium in Houston. The retractable roof and the railroad add an amazing touch to what is surely one of the coolest stadiums in baseball today. This 33x18 "Rebirth in Houston" Bill Purdom Lithograph Collection of (113) shows the state-of-the-art park. Pictured at sunset, the many lights of the stadium are shown from what appears to be an upper-deck first base side point of view. The piece really shows every detail, from the buildings in the background to the crisscross pattern of the outfield grass. It appears the Astros are taking on the Phillies in this litho, as Philadelphia leadoff hitter Doug Glanville appears on the big screen in center field.
