National League rival Pirates and Giants in the 1930s are the subject of this Burris Jenkins Original Pirates Cut Down Giants art cartoon. The piece is an extraordinary pencil sketch that shows a variety of Pirates attacking stunned Giants players and ultimately progressing to the point where they get "the booty" out of a treasure chest (which turns out to be the Giants pennant lead, now down to only one game). Carl Hubbell is depicted hung by a noose in the upper right corner, apparently victim to the Pirate attack. There are pieces missing on the top left and top right and moderate creasing/cracking, but the majority of the pencil sketch presents well given its age. An excellent addition to the personal inventory of any baseball collector.
