July 18,1999 was ironically a day chosen by the New York Yankees to honor Yogi Berra. In attendance was Don Larsen, the pitcher who threw the 1956 World Series perfect game to Berra. This day however, belonged to David Cone as evidenced in this "Celebrating Cone's Perfection" Bill Purdom Lot of (120). Cone retired all 27 Montreal Expo hitters he pitched to and completed the perfect game with only 88 pitches. The 21-5/8 x 29-5/8" print shows Cone being carried off on the shoulders of Joe Girardi and being praised by teammates for his performance.
