In his book The Machine, author Joe Posnanski writes this of the '75 Reds: "The lineup Sparky Anderson put on the field on July 4, 1975, had something more. The Reds had power and speed too. More, though, there were three African-Americans in the lineup, three Latin Americans and two white Americans—and Bench had Native American blood. They were the Great American Ballclub." The presented lot of (5) Big Red Machine autographed items feature signatures of average (“9”) strength and present relatively well with age appropriate edge wear and wrinkling from rolling and unrolling. Includes: 1) 35x24 1975 World Champion Cincinnati Reds poster (moderate cracking and small tears on top of poster) with (26) signatures: Sparky Anderson, Ed Armbrister, Johnny Bench, Jack Billingham, Pedro Bourbon, Clay Carroll, Darrel Chaney, Dave Concepcion, Pat Darcy, Dan Driessen, Rawly Eastwick, Doug Flynn, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, Ken Griffey, Don Gullett, Clay Kirby, Ted Kluzsewski, Will McEnaney, Joe Morgan, Gary Nolan, Fred Norman, Tony Perez, Bill Plummer, Pete Rose, George Scherger; 2) 18x22 Johnny Bench signed poster; 3) “Cincinnati Reds” poster with (3) signatures: Johnny Bench, Dave Concepcion, Tom Seaver; 4) 17x11 1975 “Western Division Champions” poster signed by (3) Sparky Anderson, Clay Carroll, Don Gullett and 5) 17x11 1976 “Western Division Champions” signed by Sparky Anderson & Johnny Bench.
