Long-suffering Dodgers fans finally got to stamp paid to their annual battle cry of “Wait ‘til Next Year” in 1955. Led by crafty lefthander Johnny Podres, the aging “Boys of Summer” nucleus came through in that year’s World Series, outlasting the magnificent New York Yankees in a closely contested seven-game event. This would be the Dodgers only WS title while playing in the Borough of Brooklyn. Relive this triumphant occasion with this fabulous lot of related souvenirs.
