Recall two important events in pro football history with this duo of NFL “Pro” programs.
First up is a Cleveland Stadium 9/21/70 edition from the first ever Monday Night Football telecast featuring the host Cleveland Browns vs. the New York Jets. This marvelous example rates as (NM-MT) with fantastic gloss, clean surfaces, a tight spine and only minor traces of corner wear. For the many that consider MNF a sacred weekly tradition, this magnificent program is a true treasure.
The other program represents the longest game ever played in NFL history from 12/25/71 at Kansas City’s Municipal Stadium with the Chiefs vs. the Miami Dolphins. This attractive edition scores an (EX-MT) rating due to light staining near the spine, but presents a level better. Tight and solid all around with bold colors, this prime example is affixed with a corresponding ticket stub (GD) at top right by means of adhesive. Requiring more than eighty-two minutes of clock time to complete, this gridiron marathon was the ultimate test of pro football endurance.
