Vending machine enticement is the name of the game here. Formerly employed to lure customers for baseball card purchases, this fantastic display panel poster is a great find for those with a penchant for promotional materials. Measuring approximately 12-1/2 x 18-1/2”, this attractive piece reports in very desirable condition, belying its nearly seventy years of existence. (9) Paper cards are set against a black background with the intention of promoting the Exhibit Supply Co.’s exciting “Baseball’s Great Hall of Fame” series. Certainly the manufacturer made wise choices in player selection by featuring “Lefty” Grove, “Babe” Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Eddie Plank, Carl Hubbell, Johnny Evers, Tris Speaker, Jack Chesbro and John McGraw as product ambassadors. All cards are bright, clean and glossy with sharp corners and though it looks to have been folded between the top and middle tiers, the black background sheet is crisp and serviceable with only light signs of wear.
