The July 11, 1939 All-Star Game pitted the two leagues against one another and saw the American League emerge with a 3-1 victory behind a fifth inning Joe DiMaggio home run that made the Yankee Stadium crowd give "The Clipper" a standing ovation. That mid-summer classic is the subject of this 1939 All-Star Game program. The program has a 1x1” piece in the top left corner that is torn off throughout the whole publication. The cover otherwise presents relatively well for its age aside for moderate staining; includes a scorecard scored completely and neatly in pencil. A solid addition to any pre-war baseball collection.
