Comic book fans get a special opportunity to enjoy “Thrills with the most exciting original character in comics!” with this early issue lot of The Incredible Hulk series. Begun in 1962, the big green monster smashed his way into the hearts of adoring readers through the years and more recently onto to movie screens in single character films and as part of the blockbuster “Avengers” team. This early group takes you back to the beginning of the character’s original first series run with (4) key issues from 1962-1963 including: #3 from 3/62; #4 from 11/62; #5 from 1/63 and #6 from 3/63. As expected, this quartet of historically significant comic book treasures ranges at the lower end of the scale rating as average (FR-GD).
All appear to be complete with appealing cover art and bold colors, however all have been well handled with obvious signs of age appropriate wear including the following condition notes: #3 centerfold detached but present; #4 minor surface paper replacement repair at bottom right corner of front cover; #5 small bits of cover surface loss along the right edge; #6 clear tape on top and upper right edges. Any other wear seems to be of the everyday common variety you would expect of early Silver Age books and in general these important editions remain broadly attractive.
