Buffalo Bill made his home in North Platte, NE, building the stately "Second Empire" mansion in the mid-1880s that now serves as Buffalo Bill State Historical Park. From that location, the Wild West icon wrote out and signed this check on February 24, 1894. Measuring 6-7/8 x 2-3/4", it exhibits apparent VG-EX condition with minor peripheral wear and a typical central cancellation slash. Encapsulated as "AUTHENTIC" by PSA/DNA. Elegantly matted and framed, along with a Brisbois Studio bust portrait cabinet (4 x 6-1/4" visible area, apparent EX-MT), to overall dimensions of 15-1/2 x 19-1/2". This item has a reserve (estimated value: $2,000-$3,000).
