Description

The 1937 World Champion New York Yankees rolled through the season with a 102-52 record and took care of the Giants easily in five Fall Classic contests. That team is the subject of this 30x40 “1937 World Champion New York Yankees” matted display with (28) signatures of average (“8-9”) potency. The matted item mostly features index card (also one album page) signed by Yankee players from that team and features moderate edge wear that in no way affects the pennings contained within. Signatures include: Johnny Broaca, Spud Chandler, Earle Combs, Frank Crosetti, Babe Dahlgren, Bill Dickey, Arthur Fletcher (d.1950), Lefty Gomez, Bump Hadley (d.1963), Roy Johnson (d.1973), Multi-signed album page with (5) signatures: Joe Glenn, Frank Makosky, Johnny Murphy (d.1970), Red Rolfe (d.1969), one unidentified; Multi-signed index card with (6) signatures: Tommy Henrich, Myril Hoag (d.1971), Don Hoffman, Pat Malone (d.1943), Joe McCarthy, Jake Powell; Monte Pearson, Red Ruffing, Jack Saltzgaver, Paul Schreiber, Johnny Schulte, Joe Vance, Kemp Wicker (d.1973).
